Kellie Martin is the American actress and filmmaker most well-known for her role for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Other notable roles include the title role of The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was born to a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her career as an actress at age seven when her aunt who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children assisted Martin get a part in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". Her professional career began when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her being offered major part-time roles in the TV and film industries. Martin, in addition to being an accomplished actress and dancer, is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Martin's sister, who died of Lupus at the age of 19, led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
