Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS show Mom. Calvano is originally from California and first became fascinated by gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano determined to pursue acting as a profession. Her first screen appearance was an episode from 2010 on CBS's 'NCIS. Her big-screen debut occurred a year later in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. She was one of the best young actors to be seen over the next few several years. She won an award nomination for the Young Artist Award, Best performance by a Young Actress in a Television Series due to her performance in the show "NCIS". In 2013, her role as a special guest in the comedy series 'Kickin' It' was nominated once more for a Young Artist Award. Calvano was one of the principal cast members of the show's initial three seasons, and also appeared in several episodes of the fourth season. Her performance on 'Mom" earned her the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
